Who am I?
Thank you for showing interest in my photography. My name is Brian Keith Voyles. I was born and raised in and around Dallas, Texas. I have been married for 23 years to my beautiful wife Crystal. I have two daughters, One in collage, and the other with a family of her own. I have two beautiful grandchildren that I adore with my whole being. My idea of a wonderful time is loading up the camper and taking a road trip to somewhere I have never been with the family, scouting the area for the perfect shot, then coming back for some marshmallow smore's around the fire with my favorite people. I love every aspect of photography, from the shoot, the lighting, to the editing and finalizing. I love meeting people and hearing their story. I love helping them to tell that story through photography. If you asked me what my favorite type of photography was, I don't believe I would have a straight answer for you. It doesn't matter if I am shooting a portrait, sports, or a family, a product, wedding or a beautiful landscape. I will always find fulfillment in all things photography, especially the people.
What is photography to me?
That is a loaded question. In the past 8 years there are things in my life that have made me change my entire outlook on life and the way I view it. I have learned that life is precious and that we should cherish every moment. They were very trying years indeed for me. As a matter of fact, my life today is almost unrecognizable from the life I had 8 years ago. But as for photography, well I think it made me perfect for it. The definition "photograph" is basically, a drawing made of light. I don't think it does the word justice. As a matter of fact, I don't even like the word photographer. I would like to think that photography is another art form. I would rather be labeled a photo artist. There is more to photography that just snapping a photo. Every photographer (Photo Artist), has their own style and some even take their photos further with composites, which basically is a combination of the imagination and the photo. They say a photo is worth a thousand words. I disagree. I believe in what the late great Ansel Adams once said, "A true photograph need not be explained, nor can it be contained in words". That is what I strive for my photography to be. To me, a photo is a door into the past, but if you look deep enough, sometimes you can capture a glimpse of the future. I want my clients to be able to look at one of my photos years from now, and be able to feel the moment, not just see it.
What can my clients expect from me?
The most important thing for a photographer is to meet as many expectation of the client as possible. I will strive to do that very thing. You can expect me to be friendly, but professional, Although I make laugh with you, and joke with you, in the end, you can expect a professional experience and product. My goal is to make my clients feel relaxed and comfortable, while simultaneously distracting you from the big black box in front of you, haha. I know my clients will expect me to make them look good, and I , WILL, do just that. I will never over promise and under deliver. I will try to answer all your questions before you even ask them. I will take the time to get to know you and your needs. I will go above and beyond to try and get everything you ask for. You will have a full understanding of all costs involved and pricing transparency "before", the session. Most of all I will do my best to make our time together enjoyable and as stress free as possible. Thank you for getting to know a little bit about me. I look forward to hearing from you and telling your story through photography!
